Another Successful Year in the Books!
Report card day has come and gone and the buses have run for the last time until August 17th. The 2011-2012 school year has been very exciting for more reasons then I have space to report. From the ground breaking for the new Lawrenceville High School, which is set to be completed in April of 2013, to state basketball success for both our Parkview Junior High School 7th grade girls basketball and 8th grade boys basketball team, Unit #20 experienced success. The opening of Ed Loeb Field and the first track meet hosted in over 20 years occurred this year...Wow what an exciting time to be a part of this district! As exciting a year as this has been for athletics, our performing arts, both band and choral music experienced great success. Students excelled in the classroom as well. LHS Seniors received an amount that could be worth in excess of $380,000 this past spring. Yes indeed, good things are happening at Unit #20. Our elementary staff worked tirelessly to continue to provide the best possible education for the youngest of our citizens. They have provided the foundation of our future success and are a large reason for our graduates success now. I am proud of the many accomplishments that we have achieved this year as a district, and look forward to the many more that are ahead. The future is bright for the boys and girls of Unit #20. The faculty and staff will continue to work to improve and provide an exemplary education for the students in our district. Have a wonderful summer and I look forward to seeing everyone in August!
