Illinois Financial Woes Could Hit Transportation

Transportation funding has been slashed the last two years. They are threatening to do it again. Along with possible pro-rating of General State Aid. Many schools will begin to feel the pinch like never before. Unit #20 has always tried to balance what is best for kids with our fiduciary responsibility to our tax payers. We are proud that we have been able to maintain programs and provide our kids with a strong education, while typically managing our finances at an Illinois State Board of Education "Recognition" level. Keep an eye on Springfield over the next several weeks and months as this is a scary time for all Illinois schools.
